Very moody photo of Volda's first new snow this season! So excited to see what this place looks like when it reaches sea level.
Some photos of Hoddevik the day we went to check it out for our location. Conditions are set to be much the same if not windier tomorrow! It was like this when we surfed yesterday too. Lots and lots of weather.
A few photos from my walk today. Autumn is all ready coming to an end, it would seem. I'm sure it only started last week...
I meant to finish that sentence with "The weekend we spent on Ytste Skotet", but I guess I didn't know how to spell it at the time, and of course I forgot to go back. Always proof read guys!
Lana getting ready for our trip. Lots of these photos are taken by the wonderful Abbey Syme who has been kind enough to let me post them here. She's great.
Ben and Lana. Took a role of film instead a lot of digital photos that weekend, seemed really fitting with all the traditional methods we learnt!
Me knitting the hat I mentioned last post (Photo A.S.) and the barn we slept in on our first night. What's funny about the knitting photo is that I had to start that hat over 5 or 6 times to get the right size, and Abbey was taking pictures for her documentary photography class...so every time I was knitting, she was snapping, resulting in a lot of photos that look like they're posed because I just move chairs and change clothes, (and my hair gets progressively dirtier) but my knitting just never grows!
The yarn we died, in front of the barn. The other girl is also a textiles student, we were both in paradise right here! (Photo A.S.)
Knitting pattern on the right will be decorating a hat. Hopefully.
I copied it from a very old Norwegian sweater pattern called "Volda".

Incredibly grateful for the opportunity to spend time in the darkroom here. I guess I don't have any excuse to be depressed when the daylight starts fading this winter.
The climbing of glaciers Haugabreen and Nigardsbreen (An arm of the largest glacier in Europe), with some climbing of rocks near Sogndal
The scenic mountain drive home to Volda was completely stunning at my favourite, dusky time of day. We also stopped to munch on some moose for dinner, new favourite meat!
